A look at the dashboard

Only the most necassary attributes have been left. Almost everything is removed. The top looks nice for a modern camper, but this bus is about 35 years old, so there is one thing for me to do: Remove the wood!

This is a picture from the interior of another Bedford. Also in restauration. Klick on the picture to enlarge. Special thanks to Duncan Margetts, Australia

This is a picture of the dashboard as it has to be. This picture is from the manual. ("HANDLEIDING bedford" from October 1969)

This is a picture of the dashboard of another type of Bedford bus: an OB from the 50's.
It gives me an idea of how to finish the dashboard.

A look backwards.

This is the backside of the interior. This will been kept. as it is. Only the backside-window has to be found.

The interior did look like this to the backside This picture is from another type of bus, but it has given me an idea of how it has to be. I realy think that the back-window should have another shape.

It happened to be like this
This was the interior. (With special thanks to the RAF-museum in London)This is from a Right Hand Drive-bus, but that is just a little detail. At least I know now how to reach the accu. As you can see these windows are a little different with the windows of our bus.

In such an old bus like our Bedford it doesn't like when ther is a modern radio at the dashboard. This old radio looks better. This is a radio, fitted with tubes instead of transistors and is still working. I don't know how old this radio is but for about 20 years ago I have used it into an old Citroen Traction Avant.
