Photo 1: 14 maart 2003.I start removing the alcove. There is still some wood inside, so it woul be very heavy. So, at first a few supports had to be made.
The first part is removed and this would like more nice.
Photo 3-6: 24 maart 2003: The other part of the alcove will remain a few weeks. In the meantime I would repair the roof-construction.
Photo 7: It would be difficult to bend the supports for the roof in the good shape, so I did saw the angles and then welding it into the bus.
Photo 8: The roof-construction is almost finished.
Photo 9-11: March, 27th 2003; The construction is ready and now the alcove is removed. It starts looking better.
Photo 12: March 29th 2003; working hard to get the new roof on the bus.
Photo 13 and 14: The biggest part of its new roof is fitted now. Only the front part remains.
Photo 15: April 4th 2003: READY! And now the finishing touch.
Photo 16: June 21 2003: This was the finishing touch. Almost ready for his first great trip; 300km after 16 years!
